It's is GREAT to have a tightly targeted niche market? Congratulations! Sounds like you did great at this event.

When you've got a tightly targeted audience for your products and services, suddenly a room full of competitors doesn't seem quite so intimidating!

When "everyone" is your potential customer, you get uncomfortable and defensive when someone else mentions that they do what you do for a living. However, when you clearly define your niche, suddenly very few people are your direct competitors.

It sounds like you not only did well here, but learned a lot about how to uniquely position your business as well! Again, congratulations!
