Facebook fun

by July 19th, 2008 Heather Greer

I’ve been playing with Facebook quite a bit lately.  Aside from being a lot of fun, there are a few tools there that can come in quite handy for business purposes.

Shopit–This is a simple little app that lets you post items or services for sale on Facebook.  Everyone of your friends can view your profile page where the items are listed.  Payment processing is currently handled through Paypal, which makes sense for this type of site anyway.  Just think of it as one more place to get your products in front of people.

Blog RSS Reader–Bring in all your own blogs to your Facebook page.  This app can handle multiple feeds and gives you a place to pull your own blogs together.  You can also pull in other blogs that you like as well.

Twitter–Hook up your Twitter account with Facebook.  Do you twitter?  Once it’s hooked up, your Twitter posts feed right into your Facebook page.

Don’t underestimate the power of social networking.  One of our biggest clients has come to us because of a connection on Facebook.
